CEREC Same-Visit Crowns
Unhealthy teeth are unattractive. They also take a toll on your quality of life and your self-esteem.
At Cornerstone Dental Group, we know it can be difficult to live with damaged teeth, so we offer options that restore your smile and your confidence. We use only the highest quality materials and state-of-the-art technologies to create durable dental crowns.
We are a friendly practice with a small-town feel, but we also value the tremendous role that technology plays in making your visits with us faster, safer, and more comfortable. Same-day crowns made using CEREC technology restore the appearance and function of your smile and fit your busy lifestyle.
CEREC Same-Visit Crowns
If you have had traditional crowns placed, you know that the process involves messy impressions, multiple visits, and the inconvenience of temporary crowns.
CEREC (CEramic REConstruction) is a cutting-edge technology that allows us to create a fully customized crown during just one appointment. That’s right – beautiful CEREC crowns offer all the function and appearance of traditional crowns, without the inconvenience.
The CEREC Process
Patients are always curious about the process that allows us to create a new crown in just one day:
- During the first step, Dr. Lindsay Rogers prepares the tooth just as she would for a traditional crown. But that’s where the similarity ends!
- Next, Dr. Rogers takes a digital image of the prepared tooth, which we use to create a 3-D model. This model is then used to construct your new crown right here in our office while you relax with a warm blanket and listen to your favorite music.
- The CEREC system uses a milling machine that follows the model to create your crown while you wait. We use the finest materials, which are all stain-resistant and durable and improve function and appearance. Dr. Rogers carefully matches the shade of your new crown to blend seamlessly with surrounding natural teeth.
- Finally, we adjust the crown for a perfect fit, polish it, and bond it securely to your tooth.
