CEREC Same-Visit Crowns
CEREC stands for CEramic REConstruction. It is a state-of-the-art technology that enables us to produce a fully customized ceramic dental crown during a single appointment.
At Cornerstone Dental, we recommend crowns to protect and support a tooth that is compromised by decay, cracks, or root canal treatment.
The traditional process for placing a crown requires multiple visits and injections, messy impressions, and the inconvenience of a temporary crown. With CEREC technology, we can do away with all that inconvenience. When you come in and visit us for your new crown, you will leave the same day with a beautiful customized restoration.
We create CEREC crowns using CAD/CAM technology that produces a 3-D model of your tooth. This information is sent digitally to a milling machine right here at our office. Using the 3-D model as a guide, the machine mills your ceramic crown while you relax in one of our comfortable treatment rooms.
When your CEREC crown is finished, it will be placed in your mouth, adjusted for perfect fit, and cemented securely in place. Your new crown blends seamlessly with your smile and is every bit as durable as a traditional crown.

It is important to replace a lost tooth as soon as possible.
Neighboring teeth can start to drift into the space and opposing teeth can start to erupt into the space, which adds complexity and cost to treatment and may eliminate treatment options altogether. The space may also make it difficult to eat and speak comfortably. At Cornerstone Dental, we offer we offer several tooth replacement solutions to fit your individual needs:
Conventional full and partial dentures are a popular option because of their cost-effectiveness. We have the ability to replace multiple teeth for a very reasonable price. If you resist the idea of conventional dentures or partials, implant-retained dentures or partials may be an option as well.
Dental implants are an ideal replacement because the implant post is rooted in your jaw and creates a stable base for the restoration we attach to it. We often use crowns to provide function for your implant, but we can also choose fixed bridges and full or partial dentures.
If you have been living with a gap in your smile, please call our Missoula, MT dental office. Dr. Lindsay Rogers will be happy to sit down with you to discuss your needs and recommend the ideal tooth replacement option for you.

One of the great benefits of nitrous oxide is that the effects last only as long as your treatment. When you leave us, you will feel refreshed and ready to go back to your usual routine.

If your gums bleed when you brush, there is a good chance it’s caused by periodontal disease. Inflamed or swollen gums and bad breath are two other symptoms you may notice.
Periodontal disease is a bacterial infection of the gums and affects about half of all Americans over age 30. It may present with symptoms, or it may not. A lack of symptoms is one reason why gum disease is so prevalent. It may seem like nothing is wrong, but the infection is already damaging your gums and other structures that support your teeth.
Gum disease destroys healthy bone and gum tissue and can ultimately lead to tooth loss if not treated. The good news is that treatment is easy if we get to the infection promptly. Gingivitis, the mildest form of gum disease, can usually be resolved with a professional dental cleaning and improved oral hygiene practices.
Without treatment, periodontitis, a severe form of infection, develops and can lead to bone loss and tooth loss. Periodontitis treatment requires a treatment plan that involves frequent professional cleanings and antibiotics.
If your gums bleed when you brush, please call our Missoula dental office. We will be happy to schedule a cleaning with one of our skilled hygienists.
Teeth Grinding/TMJ Treatment
If your teeth are chipped, cracked, or worn and you can’t remember doing anything to cause it, you most likely are grinding your teeth while you sleep.
Teeth grinding, or bruxism, is an uncomfortable habit that puts excessive force on your jaw joint and your teeth. Grinding your teeth occasionally due to stress or tension is not uncommon. But most of the damage to your teeth is done unconsciously while you sleep. You may also experience headaches, neck and shoulder pain, or pain in your jaw joint (temporomandibular joint, or TMJ).
We highly recommend a night guard for our patients who grind their teeth. The device looks like a mouth guard and is customized just for you. It eliminates grinding because your upper and lower jaw cannot come into contact with each other. The night guard protects your teeth from damage and relieves the pressure on your jaw, allowing it to rest.
Teeth grinding can also be caused by a misaligned bite, which can be corrected by simply reshaping the teeth that are preventing you from biting down normally. Dr. Rogers will perform an exam and ask the appropriate questions to help determine the cause of your pain and plan the appropriate treatment.
If you are waking up with headaches or pain in your jaw, you may benefit from a night guard at Cornerstone Dental. Please call us so we can help you get the relief you need!
We offer many options at Cornerstone Dental for improving your smile! Cosmetic dentistry corrects crooked teeth, uneven gaps and spaces, chipped teeth, missing teeth, and teeth that are stained or discolored.
Whether you need to renew your appearance with teeth whitening or you would like a full smile makeover, we will help you reach your goals!
The simplest and most affordable way to refresh your smile is with professional teeth whitening. However, teeth whitening is only effective on enamel. Existing fillings and crowns cannot be brightened with whitening. Another conservative option for improving your smile is cosmetic dental bonding. Bonding conceals chips, cracks, and breaks, or can completely alter the size and shape of a tooth.
Porcelain veneers are thin shells of translucent porcelain bonded to the surface of your tooth. Veneers are perfect for concealing imperfections like crooked, chipped, or severely stained teeth. Dental crowns can also be used to change the shape and appearance of a tooth as they are more durable than bonding, which will eventually need to be replaced. If you have missing teeth, we offer dental implants or bridges that fill the empty space and restore your smile.
The first step in your smile makeover is a consultation with Missoula dentist Dr. Lindsay Rogers. She will listen to your concerns and make recommendations about treatments that will help you achieve the beautiful smile you deserve. Please call us now to arrange your appointment!
